After being challenge by my mother to do a painting; my Dad wanted one done of his own. He requested the King singing his favorite song.

When thinking of this piece in the development phase, I decided to go with something that featured a Dinosaur, but something that didn't make any historical sense. It was originally going to be some sort of cyborg-dinosaur crossover thing; but then I got the idea of a hunter and her pet and this was born. I've got a lot of made-up lore based on this prehistoric duo; maybe they'll return sometime in the future if they survive this battle with the Stegosaurus... The AftermathThe Fairy Mother. A challenge requested by my own mother. She wanted something with a Fairy in a forest. So here's what I thought of!
Finally!!! Holy crap; I started this thing back in November! 😵 I thought I was never gonna get it done!
But I'm happy to finally release the finished product as my first Digital Painting of 2018! And I can now happily say, onto the next one! (Not a moment too soon, I was honestly getting sick of working on this one) Happy Friday the 13th! And on an October this year too! In honor of this day; I had to paint the good ol' hockey mask wearing serial killer. Jason Voorhees is one of my favorite Slashers; and it was about time I did a painting in tribute to him. What more can I say except; "Ch-Ch-Ch-Ah-Ah-Ah"
A piece I've been wanting to make for a while, suggested by my sister. She was reading Lion of Ireland by Morgan Llywelyn and told me all about the heroic tales and battles of the Irish King, Brian Boru, had against the Vikings. He adopted the symbol of three gold Lions onto his shield, a symbol that would carry on in history as the O'Brien dynasty's Armorial. Because of this, his nickname of the "Lion of Ireland" would reign on as an icon of his image. So when painting this, I desired to have this almost Holy image of the Lion over Brian, roaring out the strength and courage that the King held amongst his people. EAT YOUR HEART OUT, MUFASA!!
Participated in the Mash Up challenge over on DeviantArt. My randomly generated phrase was "Cortana (Halo), on Pride Rock, walking the runway for a Haute Couture Fashion Show". Rafiki doing the slow clap made it for me. XD Bitch. Please.
Saw IT and loved IT.
Go see "IT" if you haven't seen the movie! Highly recommended; really funny and scary stuff. Music used in the animation: Creepy Clown Symphony by Myuuji. Check him and the full out song here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqCnS... “You will not certainly die,” the Serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.
Continuing with my Biblical Works, we turn to the Book of Genesis for my favorite plot; the Serpent temping Eve. I really wanted to capture Eve looking alone, only the Serpent being the only living creature, beside herself, for miles around to whisper the thoughts of Sin. Those trees were a nightmare, but it was worth it. |
