A piece I've been wanting to make for a while, suggested by my sister. She was reading Lion of Ireland by Morgan Llywelyn and told me all about the heroic tales and battles of the Irish King, Brian Boru, had against the Vikings. He adopted the symbol of three gold Lions onto his shield, a symbol that would carry on in history as the O'Brien dynasty's Armorial. Because of this, his nickname of the "Lion of Ireland" would reign on as an icon of his image. So when painting this, I desired to have this almost Holy image of the Lion over Brian, roaring out the strength and courage that the King held amongst his people. EAT YOUR HEART OUT, MUFASA!!

Participated in the Mash Up challenge over on DeviantArt. My randomly generated phrase was "Cortana (Halo), on Pride Rock, walking the runway for a Haute Couture Fashion Show". Rafiki doing the slow clap made it for me. XD Bitch. Please.
Saw IT and loved IT.
Go see "IT" if you haven't seen the movie! Highly recommended; really funny and scary stuff. Music used in the animation: Creepy Clown Symphony by Myuuji. Check him and the full out song here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqCnS... “You will not certainly die,” the Serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.
Continuing with my Biblical Works, we turn to the Book of Genesis for my favorite plot; the Serpent temping Eve. I really wanted to capture Eve looking alone, only the Serpent being the only living creature, beside herself, for miles around to whisper the thoughts of Sin. Those trees were a nightmare, but it was worth it. |
