"Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.' " -Luke 23:34
My Easter painting for 2020. In these hard times of sacrifice, it is important to remember that there will be a time after. Christ resurrected from death, and so shall we.

"Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him." Matthew 2:2 A few weeks late, but finally got around to finishing my Christmas painting and the second piece of my new “Illustrating The Bible” series. I love the classic paintings of the Nativity scene featuring the Baby Jesus glowing; shimmering as the new hope of the world lighting from the darkness. In my version; we have the traditional setting- a manger within the desert with the wisemen and Shepards coming to observe the glory of their savior. Also featured amongst the animals of the farm are three white doves; symbolizing the heavenly host of archangels (Gabriel, Raphael, and Michael) coming in earthly forms to view the birth of the Messiah. Also viewing in the wings of a Raven is Lucifer; the fallen archangel looking down at the baby that would someday soon become his nemesis. This combination of Earthly and Heavenly figures being brought together adds another focal point for the baby Jesus. He's the brightest figure in their eyes, as well as our own when looking at this piece. But beyond all the Biblical poetry, I really wanted to capture the moment of love’s glow between mother and child. Jesus was accompanied by three Apostles: Peter, John and James, whom he asked to stay awake and pray. He moved a stone's throw away from them, where he felt overwhelming sadness and anguish, and said "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass Me by. Nevertheless, let it be as You, not I, would have it." Then, a little while later, he said, "If this cup cannot pass by, but I must drink it, Your will be done!" He said this prayer thrice, checking on the three apostles between each prayer and finding them asleep. He commented: "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak". An angel came from heaven to strengthen him. During his agony as he prayed, "His sweat was, as it were, great drops of blood falling down upon the ground" The first of many from a new digital painting series I'm starting: Illustrating scenes from The Bible. The passage of Jesus suffering in the garden of Gethsemane put Christ in a very 'Human' place. The fear of knowing the horrors about to unfold onto him in just a few short hours. I wanted to capture that caught in-between image of Jesus; the Temptation to flee from his duties, but the courage given to him to strive forward fearing no evil. If only Peter, John, and James were awake to see such an event occur. Holy Moses, this painting... I started this last November! I put a pin in it to work on some other projects, and would pick it back up every now and again to update it. I had no clue it was going to take almost a full year in order to complete. Even as I look at it now, I feel like it could still use some more work; but I need to let it go! So here it is; my 2018 Winter painting of a Snow Leopard caught stealing the kill of a White Tiger.
The time is finally here! Welcome to Drawtober 2019! And my sincerest welcome back to Hallow’s Eve! All the residents of our spooky filled town are so very happy that you’ll be spending the whole month of Halloween here; sight seeing all that the Eve has to offer. Our first stop will be at The Witch’s Garden- a smorgasbord for potions and brews. The most popular shoppers are obviously the Wicca and Witches. They come from far and wide, searching for that much needed ingredient to create that perfect spell. Good and Bad Witches are welcome, you might even find the traveling Hobill gathering goods for his spell of Shakespeare. Happy picking! Let’s stop at the local Pub for a drink or two for this next leg of the Tour! Welcome to The Rotten Blood, established by Count Nosferatu back in 1929 for the Upper Crust Vampires of Hallow’s Eve. Now a days, all are welcome to pull up a stool and have a drink. From the Royal Counts to Red Collared Blood Collectors; even the King of Sixpence is known to be a regular here! So make yourself comfortable and order the House special! But watch your neck, these patrons might bite. We’ll need to venture through the Woods of Many Wolves if we want to continue our tour of Hallow’s Eve. Is it dangerous? Most defiantly, especially on a Full Moon. But tonight we’re in good company, as Quincey Van Helsing was spotted in the Woods earlier clearing out a path for us. These woods are his playground, and slaying Werewolves of any kind is his specialty. Feathered Howlers, Lycanthropes, or Zhongshan wolves won’t scare him away. However, it looks like Quincey bit off a little more than he can chew. The Rabid Rover, his old nemesis, is even joining in this assault. We better get a move on, before Quincey’s more lunar-active side claws out. Wait…what’s that tall, faceless creature behind those trees…? Phew, made it! Welcome to the Hallow Eve’s Town Centre! So many different shops and businesses are awaiting us! The evening is yours; you could stop into Bandaged Treasures to look at the jewelry of the Ancient Pharaoh of the Undead. Check out Death’s watch emporium to check the time, and how longer you have until he pays you a visit. If you fancy a bite to eat; Lovett’s Meat Pies is a great place to try. However, don’t accept the complimentary shave from the barber upstairs. Or if you’d like to see something unique, stick around until dusk when the Ghost of Christmas Past lights up the street lamps. This is the only time of the day that The Moth Girl travels out to the Centre to perform an aerial dance, and she loves to have tourists join in the fun! Tres Bien! Our next stop is the Pumpkin Graveyard Patch, to pick out your very own pumpkin for carving! The Candlelit Gravekeeper, Quartermaine, is waiting for us- as he’s been having trouble with someone stealing his pumpkins. Or more like something. It doesn’t have a name, but he calls it the Pumpkin Glutton; as it comes out to gorge on the patches around the Graveyard’s hills. For years, Quartermaine has had problems with this creature, along with the notorious Pumpkin Butcher- a masked madman that loves nothing more than preying on the Jack-o’lantern people who live in the Patch. However, it looks like he’s got some trouble of his own tonight, as the Slasher Chick seems to be wanting to butcher the Butcher. What a lively scene for a cemetery! Better pick out a pumpkin quick, before the Glutton swallows it! And so, our tour of Hallow’s Eve ends with a sweet filled Halloween Party- hosted by the Master of Temptation himself; Baron Samedi! As long as you offer the good Baron with something sweet to smoke, you’re welcome to partake in the Sweet Temptations for as long as you’d like. Enjoy yourself, it’s Halloween after all! Thank you all again for partaking in our Tour of Hallow’s Eve for Drawtober this year! I had a blast taking you around and showing you all there was too see. Now it’s time to party, then take a long rest from all the spooky things. But not for too long! Mwahaha! Happy Halloween!! Ouch! February was the last time I painted something?! Jeezum crow, and I call myself an artist?! You disappoint me....me..... But yes, finally got back into the swing of things for a little while and got to start and finish this thing only in a matter of a few days! God it felt good to paint and finish something! Now I want MORE!! But a happy so-long and farewell to Summer. You were so eventful this year to me! What with the moving across states, planning out my wedding, and yadda yadda yadda. So to celebrate, let's bring us back to a classic of the Summertime block-busters and my greatest fear next to fast approaching footsteps: "JAWS". Thanks Mr. Spielberg. Don't worry darlin', I'm sure David Hasselhoff is running in slow-motion towards you to help you out with your soon to be butchered rotisserie-styled leg. (The girl is named Summer btw.) The scene that inspired this painting.Whoa! It's been too long, hasn't it friends? 2019 is finally here! And I couldn't think of a better way to start this year off by doing some fan art for some very special people.
After Filthy Fangs dropped their first pieces of work, I decided to see what all the hubb-bub was about and took a listen. The song was "Bitch, I'm Bella Thorne" and I laughed it off saying that it was just some weird song that I'd never listen to again and would move on with life. However, I found myself going back again and again to listen to not only this song, but the other collection of tunes that the Record label released. Such favorites like "G.O.A.T., Metamorphosis, Burning Up, and F**k Up". After getting over my denial, I was inspired to do some sort of surreal mashup that was made by listening to these tunes. This was the end result; something a little sexy, a little weird, and a lot of Pop. The alternates were made just because I couldn't stop myself after just the original piece. I honestly don't know which one I like the most, but I do lean towards the G.O.A.T. Version more because that was just a lot of fun to keep adding stuff to. Alright, time to start that Adult Coloring Book I keep saying I'll do. A Puritan farmer sneaks to peep in on the recluse young maiden of his Salem village. He has done this for the last few weeks, and managed to glimpse at her nudity once before. On this Hallow's Eve, he again invades her property to gander into her window to indulge his sinfulness for the evening. On the path there, he notices that there are an abundance of Toads that have seemed to come from far and wide, hopping in the same direction he treads. Following them to the opened window, he carefully leans in and lets out a gasp to see what appears before him.
The young Witch is within the midst of a sacrilegious ritual, and is deep within a trance, as a symphony of croaks surrounds her. The possessed Toads watch as a scarlet serpent emerges from the Cauldron between her legs. Nāhās has been conjured, and he shall feast upon the Toads who were summoned to sacrifice themselves to the Demon. The Witch has done her deed, and she shall soon join in a union with Nāhās to ally herself completely with Satan. Happy Halloween! This is the final of the three horror pieces I've done for this October! A big thank you to ERIEYE-STOCK over on Deviantart for providing the awesome reference image for our young Witch! Check them out for some more amazing reference images for your own paintings! Hope everyone has a spooky night! Also, be sure to check out all my 2018 Drawtober Collection in the Graphics Page! Follow me on Instagram while you're at it! You won't regret it! 🎃 I couldn't resist doing a little fan art for The Sisters Summon . It's the perfect time of the year for accursed books and demonic rituals after all 🎃 Click the link below to watch them all on YouTube! I love when just doing some practicing in anatomy can turn into a full piece. Started off as just a girl's head and it evolved into a Slasher-inspired piece. Halloween is my Christmas. 🎃Onto the next one! Hopefully I'll be able to crank out another horror-piece before the big spooky night.
